PAWC – Point Aquarius Womens’ Club

The mission of the Point Aquarius Women’s Club is to enrich the lives  of the residents of Point Aquarius by promoting the common good  and general welfare of the people in the community through social  activities (trips, bunco, crafts, book club, aerobics, etc) and community  involvement. These are the goals of the Club:

  • To beautify and protect the environment of Point Aquarius
  • To provide social activities
  • To welcome new residents
  • To inform and educate residents about neighborhood concerns
  • To provide volunteer services and/or financial support for community projects

This incredibly dynamic group of women have been working hard in Point Aquarius for almost 30 years. Started in 1996 as the Point Aquarius Garden Club, the group expanded their horizons and became the Point Aquarius Women’s Club in 2005. With a key focus on fundraising and charitable outreach, the PAWC has made a significant impact on our neighborhood and surrounding community over the years. Please consider getting involved!

Current Projects

The PA Annual Chili Cookoff

Held each year in early November; see the PA Chili Cookoff page for event details. This annual community event is heavily attended, giving PA residents the opportunity to hang out, meet neighbors and enjoy some incredible grub.

Proceeds from the Chili Cookoff benefit the PAWC scholarship fund and other community projects. Due to the overwhelming support of PA residents, the 2nd Annual Chili Cookoff and Silent Auction in 2023, raised enough money to provide FOUR scholarships for PA students headed off to college.

Digital Marquee

The PAWC is working with the PA Board to co-sponsor a new, digital marquee and plans to donate 50% of the cost.

Community Center Smart TV

PAWC also plans to purchase a large-screen Smart TV for the Community Center to be used for PowerPoint presentations, our exercise group, etc.
