Date: September 5, 2025
Subject: Notice of Boardwalk Replacement – Docks A & B

Dear Slip Holders,

This letter is to inform you that boardwalk replacement work will begin at Docks A and B on or about September 8, 2025. The project will take an estimated four to six weeks to complete. While the docks are under construction, access to your boats will be limited. If you need access to your boat while workers are removing dock boards, please proceed with caution. However, at the end of each day, you will have full access to the dock.

In addition, construction material and equipment will be staged in the marina parking lot for the duration of the project.

If you have any questions, please contact:
Larry Burkham, Chairman Marina Committee, at 713-385-9248

Key Information:

  • Much of the work will be conducted Monday through Friday during regular daytime hours.
  • Access to your boats will not be impeded during this time. Our team will take every
precaution to ensure safety and minimize disruption throughout the project.
  • Signage and any necessary temporary walkways will be clearly marked as needed.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve the marina for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
  • Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the Point Aquarius office.

p.s. – Apologies for the short notice of work start date was just confirmed.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Forecasted Marina Projects

The marina is aging quickly with only a small amount of funds available to address these issues. In 2023, the annual dues for slip holders were doubled such that we could financially support an 8-year asset maintenance project. Over these 8 years, we will target:

  • Fixing electrical issues
  • Fixing structural deficiencies
  • Replacing the bladders that keep the marina afloat

Many marina slip holders donate their time to help to resolve issues that arise.
