PA Municipal Utility District (MUD)
The Point Aquarius Municipal Utility District (MUD) is responsible for our water and sewer systems as well as the storm sewer system.
PA MUD Roles & Responsibilities
The MUD is a political subdivision of the State of Texas and is governed by an elected five-member Board of Directors, each serving a four-year term. The Point Aquarius MUD serves the Point Aquarius, Pelican Bay, Pelican Island and Lakeside Place communities.

- MUD Oversight: The Point Aquarius MUD serves the Point Aquarius, Pelican Bay, Pelican Island and Lakeside Place communities
- MUD Duties: The MUD is subject to the continuing supervision of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The MUD levies property taxes, sells bonds and collects payments to finance the operation and maintenance of our water and sewer systems. A Standby Fee of $7.50 per month is levied on each vacant lot
- MUD Taxes: Taxes are collected for the MUD District by the Montgomery County Tax Assessor/Collector
