  • 8 AM: Tasting Armbands On Sale
  • 11 AM-12 Noon: Indoor Chili Entries Setup
  • 12 Noon: Chili Check-in begins for Official Judging (blind format)
  • 2-3 PM: Live Auction / Cookoff Winners Announced*
  • 3:30 PM: Auction Items Checkout*

  • Location: The PA Community Center, 12550 Pegasus Drive, Willis, Tx 77318
  • Date: Saturday, Nov. 8 (No rain date – mostly an indoor event)
  • Indoor & Outdoor Chili Spaces Available
    Cook at home & get an indoor spot or cook onsite outdoors (no inside cooking)
    • Outdoor entry spaces open at 8 AM
    • Indoor entry setup from 11 AM to 12 Noon: Limited electricity for crock-pots, bring chili already warm
  • Judging & Awards: Many Ways to Win!
    • Official Judging: Blind judging format – Chili check-in starts at 12 Noon; auction starts around 2 (estimated time based on number of entries)
    • Peoples Choice Awards Categories: Attendees can taste chili entries & vote on their faves in 5 categories:
      • Overall Pick (50/50 entry fees to winner)
      • Spiciest
      • Most Unusual
      • Tastes Like Texas
      • How ‘Bout Them Beans
  • Chili Entry Rules
    • Chili from scratch! Any meat, canned beans and tomatoes OK
    • Teams serve their stations, supply own condiments, no glass bottles
    • Make at least 2-3 pounds (roughly a full crock pot), so you have enough for Official Judges and People’s Choice tastings (we usually have around 200 attendees!)
  • Peoples Choice Chili Tasting Armbands: On sale at the event
    • Adults: $10; Kids 6-12: $5; Kids 5 & Under: FREE!
  • Want to be a Featured Vendor on event signage and marketing?
    • Select Yes to donate a $25+ Value auction/raffle item on the vendor registration form. We’ll arrange pickup as the event gets closer – or you can bring it the day of.
  • Limited indoor table space is available
    • We’ll provide our usual 6-8 foot community center tables for the indoor spaces, but reserve your spot soon—they will go fast!
  • Outdoor vendor space info
    • Appx. 12×12 area in the PA Community Center parking lot
    • Outdoor spots: Bring your own tent/easy-up, tables and chairs
    • Sorry! No electricity or WiFi (generators ok)
  • Bathrooms onsite
  • No food sales booths other than sweet treats
  • Cookoff proceeds supports the PAWC Scholarship Fund and community projects
  • The day includes official judging, chili tastings with people’s choice voting, a huge silent auction and vendor booths
  • Hundreds of neighbors and their guests enjoy a day of food, fun and friendly competition
  • Sponsored by the Point Aquarius Women’s Club with the help of many community volunteers
